Nikki and Marcelo – Lifestyle Couples Session in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

A bit unusual for a couples’ session but we lead this one with a solo portrait of a car.  Jessie, as her owner named her 🙂

We cruised around Fort Lauderdale Beach hoping for some respite from the weather, but no go.  We were only able to get a few clicks in before the rain forced us to move to Downtown Fort Lauderdale.

Of course sometime what looks like a bad thing is a blessing in disguise.  As we parked our cars the sun started peeking out of the clouds and I was able to capture this:

South Florida Wedding Photography – Anna and Sean – Studio Album

page-004-005

Anna and Sean’s Studo Album is done, and ahead of schedule! (What is a Studio Album and how is it different from the couple’s Wedding album?)  Keep reading and you’ll find a link to see the whole album in an online page-flipping interface.  Above you can see one of my favorite spreads… I just LOVE Anna’s expression as she looks at herself in the mirror in her wedding gown for the very first time.  Truth be told, with brides this gorgeous my job is way too easy! 🙂  I also really like seeing the bridesmaids getting ready and the killer shot of their awesome kicks!

This one below is one of Nadia’s favorites, featuring both Anna and Sean’s first dance and their dances with the moms, a wonderfully moving moment of their special day.

We expect to have all the proofs up by the end of the week as promised, hopefully sooner.

In the meantime please enjoy Anna and Sean’s Studio Album and of course, Please let us know what you think in te comments – it means a lot to us to hear your feedback! 🙂

Anna and Sean – Wedding in Deerfield Beach, Florida

AnnaAndSeanPark

Here’s a first look at Anna and Sean’s wedding, which took place last night at Royal Fiesta in Deerfield Beach. Nadia shot with me, great times!

Anna and Sean came down from New York for their destination wedding in sunny south florida. They had a very moving ceremony followed by a reception with great food and dancing. Here are two photos from the portraits session we took betewen the two events.

We had a great experience shooting this wedding.  Anna and Sean took charge of their portraits session by both selecting the location, and coming up with a few of the setups (Sean, the Abbey Road shot came out great, we’ll post it up in the next few days).  Their families were really warm, they joked with us, called upon us constantly for fun portraits and were really terrific.  A wonderful joining of two great groups of people!  Best of luck to Anna and Sean on a fabulous marriage.

If you’d like to see more photos from this great event either subscribe to the blog, or check back every few days.  If you’d like to be notified when all the photos are made available in the proof section, send us an email at info@manymanymoments.com and we’ll let you know.

Finally a big thank you to Carol and Ted, from Ted Barry Tuxedos in Deerfield Beach.  We stopped at a sandwich place to grab a bite to eat before starting to set up at the location.  A rogue piece of gum that someone must have kindly stuck to the chair I was sitting in stuck to my pants and proceeded to create a very elaborate pattern of white goo.  Nadia an I got most of it off with some ice cubes and patience, but some refused to come off.  I stepped into Ted and Carol’s store and they saved the day!  From what I could see while there they have a nice selection of tuxes, you might want to check them out, especially if you’re having an event at Royal Fiesta, since they’re right across the street.

Eloy – Location Portraits

Just finished editing my shots from the portrait session Nadia and I had with Eloy on July 19.  I spent most of the session assisting Nadia so there isn’t a lot of variety in the set.

Two thumbs up for Eloy for being a very cool guy and also for coming super-prepared!  He brought some clippings from fashion mags with some ideas, as well as quite a few items of clothing for us to choose from.  We definitelly look forward to the opportunity to shoot with him again!

A shout-out also to Renato.  He came along with Eloy on the shoot and helped us immensely.  Since we decided to go lightweight with the kit (no stands for instance) most of the shots would not have been possible without your help.  Thank you!

Inserting Multiple Images in WordPress at once – if you’re less adventurous

Update: See more recent post offering the two latest solutions I use.

Let’s say you read my other post on this subject, but for some reason decided that backing up and then replacing a core php file in your installation isn’t something you’d like to do.

There’s a plugin that you might want to try, called attachment-extender.

Since it’s a standard plugin you just upload it into your plugins folder then enable the plugin from the dashboard.

Here’s how you use it:

  • Start writing your new post
  • when you’re ready to insert images click the “Add an Image” button
  • Click “Select Files” and then browse for the files on your computer
  • Select the multiple files you want to insert
  • Wait for the files to upload.
  • Now click the last tab on the “Add an image” dialog box, which should read “Media Library”
  • You will see your whole media library.  The last files you just uploaded should be at the top.
  • Check off each file you want to insert in your post
  • Click “Insert All Checked”
  • Done.

Benefits of this solution:

  • It’s not a hack, but a plugin… should survive version upgrades (until the dude at the wheel wakes up and makes this a standard feature)

Drawbacks:

  • Compared to the media.php change there are a couple of extra steps, especially clicking the boxes to select the images, and possibly paging to the next page of the gallery if you’re uploading quite a few images.

Of course it’s still tons better than the default of having to go to each image, and imho much better also than the upload then point with links by hand option.

If you find this useful and think you will benefit from what you read here, I would really appreciate it if you would add a link to my site from yours.
